Book banning is an initiative that has blown up over the past year, banning books all over the US because they deal with difficult topics, especially those that have to do with race, gender, or sexuality. But, no one should tell you what you can and can't read. You should be able to read books about different types of people and different countries and different cultures and different stories! You deserve to be knowledgable about everyone in the world so that you can help make it a more inclusive place! Books can help us be changemakers, and without them, we wouldn't be where we are today. Below is a list of banned books catered to each age level. Read them! You never know where they might take you.
*Ask your parents before reading any of the books on our lists, just to make sure that they're age-appropriate and enjoyable*
